INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 onion, chopped
1 650 mL jar Co-op Gold pasta sauce
3 tablespoons water
1 398 mL can Co-op Gold diced tomatoes, undrained
½ package (450 g) Co-op Gold penne pasta
1 package Co-op Gold cream cheese, cubed
DIRECTIONS

Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4-6
Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion. Cook and stir until the onion is tender about 5 to 6 minutes.
Add the pasta sauce to the skillet. Pour the water to the empty jar, close and shake to loosen the rest of the pasta sauce and add to the skillet. Add the diced tomatoes and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently.
Cook pasta until al dente (firm but tender). Add cubed cream cheese to the sauce. Cook and stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy. Drain the pasta and add to the skillet with the sauce. Toss and serve.
