Evergreen Co-op Acquiring TGP Food Store in Jasper, AB

Evergreen Co-op is in the process of acquiring The Grocery People (TGP) food store in Jasper, Alberta, adding another location for Evergreen Co-op members to shop and receive their membership benefits.

This site just completed some renovations and is awaiting Parks Canada approval before this acquisition can be completed. Evergreen Co-op is expected to take over the location upon receiving Parks Canada approval, and it will continue to operate under the TGP banner for several months until it fully transitions to an Evergreen Co-op location.

“We thank our team members for their dedication to this special location,” said Adele Kostura, Director, TGP. “We are pleased that the CRS will continue to have a presence in the community and know it will be well served by joining a strong association with close ties to the area.”

All team members at the Jasper food store location have the option to move to Evergreen Co-op and remain in their current positions.

When the acquisition is complete, Evergreen Co-op will have a presence in both national parks in Alberta, as they also operate a Co-op gas bar in Banff.

“We look forward to offering our members an additional location at which to earn patronage,” said Shane. “We’re also excited to serve customers and visitors in the beautiful community of Jasper for years to come.”
